The Bicycle Music Company is pleased to announce that it has extended its worldwide publishing agreement with the prince of darkness, Marilyn Manson, to include the songs on Manson’s critically hailed 2015 album, THE PALE EMPEROR (Hell, etc./Loma Vista/Concord).
Released in January of this year, THE PALE EMPEROR, debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Album Sales chart and was met with acclaim from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Details, Revolver and The Fader to name a few. The album also scored a #1 debut in Switzerland and broke into the Top 10 in Germany, Austria, France, and Canada among many others. THE PALE EMPEROR’s first two singles “Deep Six” and “Mephistopheles of Los Angeles” continue to garner immense airplay here and around the world.
The Los Angeles Times called THE PALE EMPEROR “one of the best hard rock albums of the year,” summarizing it as “a brooding, darkly funny vamp in the spirit of his heroes Nick Cave, Bauhaus and David Bowie.” And Rolling Stone exclaimed, “Manson hones his dark magic for his best, most twisted alt-rock party in years.”
Bicycle Music has also signed Manson’s collaborator, uber film and TV composer, Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300), to a worldwide publishing agreement for his contribution to THE PALE EMPEROR.
Bicycle Music now represents worldwide publishing rights in six Marilyn Manson albums, including…
Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) (2000), The Golden Age of Grotesque (2003), Eat Me, Drink Me (2007), The High End of Low (2009), Born Villain (2012), THE PALE EMPEROR (2015)
Alongside Marilyn Manson, Bicycle Music represents some of the most important works in alternative and industrial music, including those of Nine Inch Nails and Ministry.
